If you’ve been dealing with persistent skin issues—acne, dryness, rashes, dermatitis, eczema, or psoriasis—and nothing seems to work, it’s time to shift the focus from the surface to what’s happening inside your body.
If you find yourself trying endless topical creams, facials, treatments, products, lasers, microneedling, hormonal contraception, or even antibiotics like Accutane or Spironolactone hoping for a fix, please remember that good skin comes from within.
Your skin doesn’t just react to external products and treatments.
Rather, it reflects your body’s internal health.
When your body is overwhelmed by imbalances—gut dysfunction, hormonal disruptions, or toxic buildup—your skin is one of the first places to show it.
The good news is that you can address these root causes, transforming your skin from within.
Here’s what happens when you focus on true healing:
Clear, healthy, glowing skin that feels hydrated and balanced.
Confidence to go makeup-free and embrace your natural beauty.
Freedom from constant flare-ups because you’ve addressed the underlying causes.
Your skin issues—acne, dryness, rashes, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis—are signals of internal imbalances like:
Gut health struggles.
Hormonal imbalances.
Nutrient deficiencies.
A buildup of toxins your body is struggling to eliminate.
For example, if toxins aren’t coming out through your bowels, then they will definitely come out through your skin.
As I mentioned here, you should ideally:
Go to the bathroom 2–3 times per day (yes, you heard that right — per day!) with ease.
Have brown stool (unless you eat a lot of greens or beets).
Avoid straining or pain while passing a bowel movement.
Have complete bowel movements that feel satisfactory to you.
Barely require any wiping afterward.
Not regularly experience bloating, gas, or other digestive issues.
And, if you aren’t having 2-3 complete bowel movements per day, your detoxification pathways are likely blocked.
What does this mean?
Toxins that should be eliminated through the colon are currently recirculating through your body and coming up and out through your skin.
Your body is smart—it’s always working to protect you.
But, if elimination is a struggle for you, you absolutely must focus on opening up your detoxification pathways.
Once those toxins are being properly eliminated through your bowel movements, your skin will begin to clear.
So, again, you don’t need another cream, product, laser, treatment, or quick fix to manage the symptoms you’re currently experiencing.
You need a systemic reset to cleanse your body of toxins and transform your skin from within.
It starts with a methodical, holistic approach to detoxification, balancing your gut, hormones, and overall system to support lasting skin health.

Loved this post. Sadly, in society, more and more people talk about external remedies to recommend products instead of focusing on the root cause. I never did any skin care, except washing my face and applying a moisturiser. All I did was focus on my diet and it worked.
I'm a new writer on Substack and would like to connect with you.
