The Foundation — my 12-week guided detox program — starts September 22. Up to 12 spots available. If you've been reading this newsletter and wondering whether this work is right for you, a 20-minute fit call is the fastest way to find out. Book yours here.
There is a sentence I hear constantly in intake calls.
“I’ve tried everything”.
And, the thing is….they have. The people who find their way to me aren’t lazy. They aren’t uninformed. They aren’t failing to try hard enough.
They’ve done elimination diets, supplements, functional medicine panels, peptides, IV therapies, and gut protocols. Some of them have spent tens of thousands of dollars and years of their lives on this.
And, they still don’t feel well.
The protocol was never the problem, but the order was.
Your body detoxifies in a required biological sequence. It is not optional, and it is not negotiable. Skip a step, run them out of order, or mobilize toxins before your elimination pathways are open, and the protocol fails, all because the system wasn’t ready to receive it.
Here’s what that looks like in practice.
1. You start a gut protocol before your colon is clearing.
This is the most common mistake I see. If your colon isn’t moving, which means 2-3 complete, effortless bowel movements a day, then nothing upstream clears. The gut protocol pulls things loose. But, if there’s nowhere for them to go, they recirculate. You feel worse, and you blame the protocol.
The colon is always first. Always.
2. You do a liver cleanse before the colon is open.
Your liver processes toxins and packages them into bile for excretion through the bowel. If the colon isn’t moving efficiently, that bile (and everything it’s carrying) gets reabsorbed. Your toxic load doesn’t decrease; it redistributes. You feel terrible and conclude that liver cleanses don’t work. They do work, but in the right order.
3. You take probiotics and gut supplements before addressing intestinal permeability.
You can seed the gut with the most carefully selected strains available, and they will not colonize in a permeable, inflamed, dysbiotic environment. You need to repair the terrain before you rebuild it. Most gut protocols skip this entirely.
4. You go after parasites, mold, or heavy metals before phases one and two are complete.
This is the most dangerous version of the sequencing error. Parasites, mold mycotoxins, and heavy metals are mobilized from tissue during deep detox. If your drainage pathways — colon, liver, lymph, kidneys, lungs — are not fully open and functioning, that mobilized burden has nowhere to exit. It recirculates into tissues and organs. Symptoms worsen dramatically. People conclude they are too toxic to detox, or that the protocol made them sick.
The protocol didn’t make them sick. Mobilizing faster than the body can eliminate made them sick.
5. You optimize before you clear.
Supplements, peptides, and advanced therapies are all all inputs. Inputs require an output. A congested system can’t absorb, process, or benefit from inputs the way a clear system can. Optimizing on top of a backed-up body is like renovating the top floor of a building with a flooded basement.
Clear first, then optimize second.
6. You run someone else’s protocol on your body.
Your body has a history — medications, surgeries, exposures, traumas, pregnancies, years of hormonal contraception, specific deficiencies, and specific loads. A protocol designed for the general population is not designed for your terrain. It may move things in a direction your body isn’t ready for, at a pace your capacity can’t handle.
Readiness criteria exist for a reason. You advance when your body says so, not when the calendar does.
The reason nothing has held so far isn’t a mystery.
It is both a sequencing problem and a capacity problem. Two people can run the identical protocol and get opposite results because one could handle what it mobilized and the other couldn’t.
This is the entire reason The Foundation exists. 12 weeks, 12 people. The sequence run in the order your body actually requires — colon and drainage first, gut and terrain rebuild second, liver, kidneys, and gallbladder third — with readiness criteria at every phase so that you never advance before you’re genuinely ready.
The people in my intake calls have not failed.
They have been failed by protocols that skipped the sequence.
If this resonated, meaning if you’ve been in that “I’ve tried everything” place and you recognize yourself in even one of these six points, the next step is a 20-minute fit call. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’ve tried, and whether The Foundation is the right container for the next chapter of this work.
Enrollment closes September 18.
And, if you’re not sure where your body is in the sequence yet, the free Detox Phase Quiz will tell you. It takes 2 minutes.
If you’d prefer to work together 1:1, I’m currently taking a very limited number of new 1:1 coaching clients heading into the fall. The first step is a 45-minute Client Intake call where we map your full picture and figure out together whether the work is the right fit for where you are. Book your free Client Intake call.
